Ants (week 1)

we have read two books about ants and found out that ants may look like they dont have a goal, but they are actually building tunnels that go miles and have many rooms. we learned that when it rains the ants go deeper into the ground. in the winter the ants hibernate and go very deep underground and curl up in a ball in keep eachother warm. every ant has its on job, whether it is to bring food, one cracks the food or seed, some throw the shells away, some squeeze the juices and some store the food for others. every room in the hill has a purpose. there is even a room for the queen to lay eggs.

we also found out that there is over 20,000 different types of speices. we now know that ants have a exoskeleton
